.: Kanji : 漢字 :.
Well, I was thinking about “Kanjis”, there is a long
time that I don’t study it, so I will try to do a review about it. Just to
remind, the Japanese writing system uses three main scripts: Kanjis, Hiragana
and Katakana. The Kanjis was “imported” from China and the Japanese got about
50.000 Kanjis. Fortunately, “The Japanese Ministry of Education designated
1,945 characters as Jooyoo Kanji, which are the most frequently used
characters. It would be very helpful to learn all Jooyoo Kanji, but the basic
1,000 characters are sufficient to read about 90% of the kanji used in a
newspaper (about 60% with 500 characters).” (source:
http://japanese.about.com/library/blqow27.htm)
Ok, Let’s go, I will try to study 12 Kanjis each time I
post a kanji study.
I will follow
the book “Shin Nihongo no Kiso”.
山 : やま : Yama
川 : かわ : Kawa
日: にち : Nichi
月 : がつ : Gatsu
田 : でん : Den
木 : ぼく : Boku
口 : くち : Kuchi
目 : もく : Moku
耳 : みみ: Mimi
人 : ひと : Hito
子 : こ : Ko
女 : おんな : Onna
Those kanjis are very simple, so I won't study they
today, maybe next time.
